Bilthoven, 9 februari 2006 – Business Objects, leverancier van Business Intelligence-oplossingen (BI), heeft overeenkomst bereikt over de acquisitie van Firstlogic, Inc., leverancier van datakwaliteitsoplossingen. Met de overname is een bedrag gemoeid van $69 miljoen. De afronding van de acquisitie wordt verwacht in het tweede kwartaal van 2006.
Met deze overname bouwt Business Objects verder aan haar Enterprise Information Management (EIM) strategie, met als doel organisaties een eenduidiger en consistenter beeld van hun bedrijfsinformatie te geven. Hierdoor kunnen bedrijven beter gefundeerde beslissingen nemen en compliance-initiatieven versnellen.
