- Utimaco achieves a new record quarter
- Around 16% growth in revenue in the first six months of 2005/2006
- EBIT result increased to € 5.9 million after 6 months
Arnhem/Oberursel, 24th January 2006 - According to preliminary calculations, Utimaco's revenues for its second quarter (October to December) 2005/2006 increased, from last year's record of € 11.1 million, for the same period, to a new record € 12.0 million. In the first half year (July to December) 2005/2006 revenue totaled € 21.3 million, which represents a growth of around 16% compared with the same period in the previous year (€ 18.4 million).
The Personal Device Security division, which specializes in software products that protect data on mobile personal devices and in networks, increased its revenue in the first half year by around 23% to € 16.6 million (previous year € 13.5 million). Revenues generated from software license sales grew by 21% in the first 6 months of the business year 2005/2006.
After six months, revenues from projects to secure electronic business processes (Transaction Security) equalled € 5.1 million, which was slightly lower than in the same period last year (€ 5.3 million).
According to preliminary calculations the consolidated operating result (EBIT) increased to € 5.9 million (previous year € 4.5 million). This corresponds to an EBIT margin of 27.5% compared with 24.3% in the previous year.
The final results for the first half year 2005/2006 will be published on 22nd February 2006 and discussed in detail at a conference for analysts.
