New ThinkVision Wireless Projector from Lenovo Liberates the Sales Pitch
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., October 24, 2005 - Lenovo today announced the first ThinkVision C400 Wireless Projector that will allow business presenters to project image files, deliver a presentation or share photos, without the need to connect to a notebook or desktop PC. Equipped with 802.11b/g integrated wireless capabilities and a USB memory key input, users can project wirelessly without the need for added components, such as an external wireless module, audio or video cables.
The ThinkVision C400 Wireless Projector marks an important advancement in ThinkVision innovation as wireless mobility is extending outside the realm of notebook PCs to the options traditionally used with them. In a simple three-step process, presenters can easily connect, set up and run presentations on an existing network through an encrypted wireless connection.
For multiple users delivering presentations sequentially, the ThinkVision C400 Wireless Projector offers a seamless and wireless transition to the next speaker with a click of the remote. For further ease-of-use, the projector is automatically activated when users press Fn+F7 to run Lenovo's Presentation Director, a ThinkPad notebook software program designed to manage projector settings and simplify the user experience.
With the ThinkVision C400 Wireless Projector, presenters can take their minds off of potential technical difficulties in the crucial minutes before a presentation, such as multiple cable connections, room logistics or notebook configurations, and focus on delivering a convincing pitch without technology diverting audience attention.
"Business presenters have more important priorities than dealing with difficulties connecting audio and video cables to notebook computers, said Bob Galush, vice president, product marketing, Lenovo. I have observed and delivered many customer presentations, and the ability to walk into a room and connect wirelessly or plug a memory key containing your presentation into the USB slot is a valuable asset."
Equipped with 2,650 lumens and weighing 7.5 pounds, the C400 Wireless Projector is a bright, compact, feature-rich projector ideal for departmental sharing, use in lecture halls and classrooms, or ceiling mounting in conference rooms. In addition to its integrated wireless capabilities, the C400 Wireless Projector includes all traditional cable connections to offer users a choice in how they work.
With HDTV compatibility and wireless connectivity in offices and boardrooms, the ThinkVision C400 Wireless Projector can handle a wide-range of business activities typical in today's work environments, including streaming video. Other features include DLP technology that produces brilliant colors, XGA native resolution, and picture-in-picture capability to display multiple input sources at once.
The ThinkVision C400 Wireless Projector comes standard with a carrying case, remote control with laser pointer and a three-year warranty with rapid replacement service (1).
