Spijkenisse, the Netherlands, September 29th 2005 – Allied Data Technologies, specialist of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) for the Local Loop (PSTN, ISDN, xDSL) today announces their CopperJet 16xx products to support new standards ADSL2+ annex L, annex M and annex B. Recent pilots show outstanding results on performance, range and interoperability. This makes the CopperJet 16xx product range useful in almost every situation where performance and/or reach are required.
The new standards define new possibilities for extended reach (annex L), doubling the upstream data (annex M) and ADSL2+ support over ISDN (annex B). The outcomes of the tests also show the CopperJet 16xx series to be proven interoperable with all major DSLAM vendors.
CopperJet’s results in connection rates:
- ADSL2+ annex L: 300 Kbps data rate at max. 24.000 ft (approx. 8000 meters)
- ADSL2+ annex M: Upstream increased to more than 2.5 Mbps with a downstream of almost 21 Mbps
- ADSL2+ annex B: More than 21 Mbps downstream
One of the tests performed was with the CopperJet 1624: an ADSL2+ Router that supports both Voice over IP (SIPv2/MGCP) and Voice over ATM. It supports 2 or 4 x ISDN BRI S0 connection that can be used for telephony (ISDN phones), fax (G4) or data (ISDN BRI) services using its automatic switchover system between telephony and data. It also provides layer 2 Bridging, layer 3 Routing and integrates a full-featured firewall for security. Adding IPsec VPN functionality enables the CopperJet 1624 to perform as a full-featured VPN router.
After successfully participating at the ETSI xDSL Plugtest event held in June in Lannion (France), Allied Data Technologies will also be at the Broadband World Forum Europe that will be held from October 3rd until 6th 2005 in the Palacio Municipal de Congresos in Madrid (Spain). At this 4-day educational conference and technology exhibition, the CPE manufacturer will also present the CopperJet 1624. Allied Data Technologies can be found at booth # 3026.
