London and Detroit May 16, 2005: INCAT International plc, the global provider of services and solutions for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) today announced the expansion of its European operations through the incorporation of a new subsidiary in France. INCAT France is headquartered in Strasbourg. In addition, the company will maintain offices in Nancy, Belfort, Lyon and Paris.
The new subsidiary has acquired the clients, certain assets and 29 employees from the administrators of Rand France S.A., formerly a part of RAND Worldwide, a Canadian company.
INCAT International plc has a significant number of international clients who have operations in France. In addition, INCAT plans to leverage its expertise and technologies to add to its client base in France.
“Our investment in France supports our objective to better serve our clients wherever they are,” said INCAT CEO Ulrich Herter. “International companies are increasingly looking to achieve global standardization with respect to product development methods and processes. This allows them to better leverage their resources, repurpose existing developments and streamline the development times and costs.”
“We identified outstanding technical talents in context with this expansion,” added Wolfgang Zoefgen, INCAT Managing Director – Europe. “We will leverage this additional expertise in our activities throughout Europe and the other INCAT territories.”
Stephane Geffrouais, a veteran of the PLM industry in France, has been appointed country manager for INCAT France.
“We’re pleased to join INCAT, an organization already recognized as one of the world leaders in PLM, and we look forward to the opportunities for growth and expanded client services that this move provides,” said Geffrouais.
