- Revenues grow by 34.8 % after nine months
- Operating result (EBIT) increases by 133% to € 5.4 million after nine months
OBERURSEL, 25 April 2005 – According to initial calculations, Utimaco Safeware has achieved revenues of € 8.1 million (previous year: € 6.1 million) in the third quarter (January to March) of business year 2004/2005. After nine months, the company's revenues increased by 34.8 % to € 26.6 million (previous year € 19.7 million), continuing the strong growth of the first half year.
The Personal Device Security division, which specializes in software products for protecting data on mobile personal devices and in networks, increased revenue by around 30% after nine months to € 19.8 million (previous year € 15.2 million). In the third quarter revenues increased by more than 33%.
After nine months, business from projects for securing electronic business processes (Transaction Security) grew by around 47% to € 7.2 million including internal revenues of € 0.5 million (previous year € 4.9 million including internal revenues of € 0.4 million).
According to initial calculations, the consolidated operating result (EBIT) increased to € 0.9 million in the third quarter and tripled the result of the same period in the previous year. In total, the consolidated operating result (EBIT) increased to € 5.4 million (previous year € 2.3 million) after nine months.
“We are pleased that, in this third quarter, we have been able to continue the striking growth achieved in the first half year, and we plan to invest even more heavily in further extending our leading market position in the next quarters”, said Christian Bohne, Utimaco's Financial Director.
The final results for the first nine months of business year 2004/2005 will be announced and discussed in detail in a conference call for analysts on the 18th May.
