De Meern, March 23, 2005 - Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL) today reported increased total revenues for the third consecutive quarter of fiscal 2005 for the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region with 19% growth, compared to the same quarter last year. Oracle saw sustained demand for its technology stack as companies and governments continue to consolidate their infrastructures around Oracle’s products.
“This has been a sound quarter for Oracle in EMEA,” said Sergio Giacoletto, Executive Vice President, Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Demand for OracleÒ next generation solutions remains strong in key industries such as the public sector, financial services and telecommunications. Additionally, the acquisition of PeopleSoft is changing the landscape of applications, and providing customers across the region with an even more competitive alternative to SAP.”
