Utrecht/Cagliari, 16 March 2005 – Tiscali renews its commitment to “46664 – Give 1 Minute of Your Life to Stop Aids”, the project promoted by the Nelson Mandela Foundation to support the fight against AIDS. After the great success of the first live concert via web, Tiscali announces today its involvement in the second major music event of the 46664 campaign. The show, which will be held in Fancourt, George, South Africa on March 19, will be webcast by Tiscali, who will make the streaming accessible to all ADSL users in The Netherlands.

All the proceeds of the concert will go to the Nelson Mandela Foundation, which, by using the most advanced technologies to sensitize public opinion about the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS, helps those hit by this devastating pandemic. In particular, 46664 SOUTH AFRICA is dedicated to the vital role of women in the fight to stop AIDS.
The 46664 SOUTH AFRICA concert is to be spearheaded by Queen + Paul Rodgers along with Annie Lennox. Joining them will be Will Smith, who will be performing as well as acting as Master of Ceremonies, together with a number of international female stars, including India.Arie, Katie Melua and Jada Pinkett Smith’s band Wicked Wisdom and an array of local South Africa artists including Mafikizolo, Prime Circle, Kabelo, Blk Sonshine, Karen Zoid, and 46664 Ambassadors Johnny Clegg, Danny K and Mandoza.
Tiscali is working to help bring Mr Mandela’s campaign to raise awareness of the global HIV/AIDS pandemic to a widespread audience, by webcasting through Tiscali Netherlands for free.
