IBM Business Consulting Services heeft een overeenkomst gesloten met Toshiba Medical Systems Europe (TMSE). Binnen deze overeenkomst zal IBM ter verhoging van de productiviteit de bedrijfsprocessen en -systemen transformeren en standaardiseren door het ontwerp en de implementatie van Oracle E-business software te managen. Het project is gericht op backoffice processen en systemen op het gebied van logistiek, service en financiële administratie. Toshiba versterkt zijn bestaande partnership met IBM om volledig te kunnen profiteren van de ervaring van IBM´s Oracle-specialisten overal ter wereld.
Toshiba Medical Systems Europe seeks to transform productivity with IBM

Amsterdam, The Netherlands, September 20 2004- IBM Business Consulting Services announced today that Toshiba Medical Systems Europe (TMSE) signed an agreement. Under the agreement IBM will transform and standardise business processes and systems to enhance productivity by managing the design and implementation of Oracle E-business suite software. The project focuses on back-office processes and systems in the areas of logistics, service and finance. Toshiba will enhance its existing partnership with IBM to take full advantage of the experience of IBM´s Oracle experts all over the world.
Toshiba´s main objective for the implementation of the new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System is to enhance productivity throughout the whole TMSE group, through the combined effect of replacement of the present systems, innovating and optimizing the current processes and workflows. The project covers all TMSE European Operations and will support future growth.
IBM's point of view on the healthcare industry is that a fundamental reshaping of this industry is about to happen.
