B2B Integration Software Company TIE Holding N.V and De Vries Robbe Groep NV, both listed on the EuroNext Amsterdam Stock Exchange hereby announce that they have entered into a strategic alliance. The goal of this alliance is to exploit the emerging and lucrative market for B2B Integration in Eastern Europe. This is a market which is relatively new to TIE, but which offers a range of business opportunities when various Eastern European countries join the European Union. TIE and DVRG will introduce TIE’s software and services in Eastern Europe by means of targeted marketing campaigns, seminars, corporate presentations and so forth. In order to emphasize the strategic nature of the alliance, both parties hereby announce their intention that DVRG, or a related party, will obtain a substantial interest in TIE.
DVRG’s Hungarian division, Triton KFT, is well positioned in Hungary and Eastern Europe. Triton KFT will establish a joint venture with TIE, under the name “TIE Hungary KFT”. TIE will obtain a minority position in this joint venture. TIE Hungary will introduce TIE’s B2B Integration Software in Hungary and in Eastern Europe as a whole. Currently agreements are being drafted to establish the implementation of the marketing policy, which should allow TIE and DVRG to become key players in the Eastern European eBusiness software market.
In the coming days, TIE and DVRG will further negotiate the participation of DVRG in TIE. In accordance with the agreement between both parties, DVRG will obtain a minimum of 5% of TIE’s outstanding shares. Details outlining the implementation of this agreement will be published in due course.
Dick Raman, CEO of TIE: “Our cooperation with DVRG enables TIE to strengthen its position in Eastern Europe. This partner is well acquainted with the local business culture, which is crucial in ensuring the successful introduction of our software and services. By using the know-how of the market of local players, we further emphasize our ambition to become a key player in the Eastern European software market. For Eastern European companies in countries that will join the EU it is a major opportunity to trade electronically with their Western business partners. The cooperation between TIE and DVRG will offer these companies that opportunity.
George Toth, CEO of DVRG: “Joining forces with TIE has been our objective for a while, and we have been able to achieve this objective with this agreement. Our knowledge of Eastern Europe, combined with TIE’s know-how in the field of eCommerce offers DVRG an ideal opportunity to expand its activities.”
