Nieuwegein, 5 februari 2004 – Verity Inc. (Nasdaq;VRTY), marktleider in enterprise zoek- en classificatiesoftware waarmee ondernemingen maximaal rendement kunnen behalen uit hun intellectueel kapitaal, en Cardiff Software, leverancier van technologie voor het geautomatiseerd vastleggen van dynamische bedrijfsinformatie, hebben een overeenkomst gesloten voor de overname van Cardiff Software door Verity. Met deze acquisitie zal een overnamebedrag van ongeveer 50 miljoen dollar gemoeid zijn.
Producten van Cardiff zijn TELEform, LiquidCapture en LiquidOffice, een uitgebreide suite voor document capture, e-forms en workflow gestuurde bedrijfsprocessen. Verity verwacht de transactie binnen 30 tot 60 dagen af te ronden, afhankelijk van de acceptatie van de overeengekomen condities. Naar verwachting zal de transactie al in het eerste volledige kwartaal van gecombineerde activiteiten een positieve bijdrage kunnen leveren aan de resultaten van Verity.
