Schiphol-Rijk (Nederland), 3 december 2003 – Imation heeft Theo Bouwmans benoemd tot Country Leader Nederland. Bouwmans is nu al regionaal directeur Benelux en verantwoordelijk voor alle exportactiviteiten naar Oost-Europa en Scandinavië. Met deze aanvulling is Bouwmans verantwoordelijk voor het Nederlandse management team. Hij rapporteert rechtstreeks aan Brian Plummer, directeur Europa.
Bouwmans heeft al diverse managementfuncties binnen 3M en Imation bekleed (Imation is in 1996 van 3M afgesplitst). Hij is eerder area manager voor de Benelux, Duitsland en Frankrijk geweest, alsmede Europees verkoopdirecteur voor het OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)- en hardware-kanaal. Tevens heeft Bouwmans in een aantal Europse landen de herstructurering geleid van Imation’s data-opslagactiviteiten.
Theo Bouwmans volgt Tom Foyer op. Foyer gaat vanuit Dubai leiding geven aan Global Data Media. Global Data Media is een samenwerking tussen Imation en Moser Baer India (MBI). Dit bedrijf richt zich op verwisselbare optische media met een hoge opslagcapaciteit.
