London - CNBC Arabiya, the first regional 24-hour Arabic-language business news channel in the Middle East, due to launch later this month, has signed a three year deal to take news and financial data from Reuters. Reuters already has in place contracts to supply CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia and CNBC Turkey.
Under the deal, CBNC Arabiya will use the Reuters world television news services, providing footage of major stories around the clock, plus access to video archive material.
CNBC Arabiya's journalists will have access to the Reuters text news services providing breaking news and regular market updates. In addition the channel will use the Reuters financial data services, providing international and regional market information, to create graphics and content to support their market and business reporting.

The Reuters network of journalists based across the Middle East, and its coverage of financial data from local stock exchanges and markets, will make a valuable contribution to our service."
