Dimension Data is continuing its tradition of showcasing world-class solutions for service providers. The company demonstrated its end-to-end solution for Metro Ethernet (MetroE), an increasingly popular option for high-speed Internet access for business, at TeleManagement World in Nice, France from 19 - 22 May. Dimension Data also offered a sneak preview of its solution for Public Wireless LAN (PWLAN).
TeleManagement World, as organised by the TeleManagement Forum (TMF), is the only worldwide forum for New Generation Operational Systems and Software (NGOSS). The industry's business and technical leaders converge here annually to share their knowledge and learn from their peers, providers, and clients.
According to Dimension Data's Mahmud Noormohamed, Global CEO for SPS (Service Provider Solutions), the company is demonstrating solutions that address the most pressing needs of telecommunications service providers. "We understand that service providers have only two primary objectives: to save money by leveraging assets as effectively as possible, and to make money by providing outstanding services to their clients - and Dimension Data's solutions speak of this," he says.
Noormohamed explains that the company's MetroE solution offers an out-of-the-box connectivity option that allows service providers to realise a return on investment in as little as 90 days. "We believe the compelling value proposition of both our MetroE and PWLAN solutions will attract a good deal of attention at TeleManagement World," he says.
Dimension Data's stand also featured presentations on the group's Infrastructure Technology (IT), Operations Management (OM) and Enhanced Applications (EA) components for these solutions.
"Our out-of-the-box Operations Systems and Software (OSS) act as enablers for revenue generating services and have been a key focus of our presence at TeleManagement World," says Noormohamed.
In addition, several company executives delivered presentations demonstrating Dimension Data's successes in the field, including a joint presentation with Australian customer, Telstra.
"Dimension Data has a reputation for launching innovative products and services at Telemanagement World and we have been looking forward to another success at this year's event. Visitors to this year's event had to be impressed with our offerings," concludes Noormohamed.
