May 16th, 2003: Redwood Software, provider of infrastructure automation solutions, today announced that its market-leading job-scheduling product, Cronacle Process Manager for Web Version 5.7.0, is one of the first software solutions to be successfully certified, via the J2EE-DEP interface, for the deployment of J2EE-compliant solutions on SAP Web Application Server 6.20 (J2EE -DEP).
Cronacle Process Manager for Web enables SAP customers to manage and monitor all batch processing using the SAP NetWeaver™ platform. End users can schedule ABAP, Java programs, and operating system jobs with Cronacle Process Manager for Web. Distributed batch workload that executes across multiple systems running the SAP Web Application Server, as well as many instances of SAP solutions, can be co-ordinated and administered from a central point of control inside the SAP NetWeaver environment with Cronacle Process Manager for Web.
With Cronacle Process Manager for Web, SAP users can co-ordinate the scheduling of SAP NetWeaver jobs alongside the SAP R/3® workload of an SAP solution, as well as native UNIX and NT operating systems tasks. Asynchronous processing, running across multiple platforms and featuring complex dependencies can be easily managed and controlled using Cronacle Process Manager for Web.
Commenting on this announcement, Mark Nation, VP of Product Marketing at Redwood, said, “We are very honored to be one of the first vendors to be certified for deployment of our J2EE-compliant solution onto the SAP Web Application Server. With the ability to integrate ABAP add-ons and Java programs, SAP customers can easily embrace J2EE and Web services within their future IT strategy. With Cronacle Process Manager for Web supporting the scheduling of Java and ABAP workloads, our complementary technology enhances the SAP NetWeaver platform, helping ensure that SAP and Redwood Software customers benefit from rich functionality from day one when they implement SAP Web Application Server.”
