Axis Communications will demonstrate a number of new network video and
print products as well as developer solutions at CeBIT 2003. With a
strong technology base for cost-effective delivery of advanced
applications and solutions, Axis has secured leading positions in the
network connectivity industry. The company's solutions play an important
part in the further development of the network video market as well as
the market for networked document management solutions.
The new solutions that will be showcased at CeBIT are:
AXIS Panorama PTZ Network Camera, the world's first multi camera set-up
with a near 180 degrees panorama view is ideal for surveillance and
remote monitoring. The solution consists of two network cameras equipped
with wide-angle lenses and embedded customized software that enables
images to be stitched together, allowing several users to view the
panorama simultaneously. It is even possible for users to view separate
areas, independently of each other. With a specially designed tripod for
easy mounting, the solution includes everything needed for affordable
pan, tilt and zoom surveillance.
AXIS Wireless Camera Solutions, designed for companies wanting to extend
the camera networking capabilities beyond the limitations of cable. The
802.11b Wireless Device Point and 802.11b Wireless Access Point add the
ability to operate any Axis network video product in fully integrated
wireless environments.
Power over LAN Midspan and Active Splitter from Axis; enable Axis
network video products to receive power and data over a single Ethernet
connection. The accessories make it possible to cost-efficiently install
network cameras and video servers in areas where power cabling and
outlets are unavailable or difficult to install.
AXIS 70U document server, the perfect tool for sending documents in any
medium to large-sized, paper-intensive company that today regularly uses
fax or courier. AXIS 70U follows up on the successful release of the
AXIS 70, which connects to a scanner through the SCSI-port. By using the
USB-port for connecting to a scanner, the AXIS 70U addresses a new and
larger market for intelligent document distribution.
AXIS ETRAX 100LX MCM 2+8, a complete Linux computer on a single chip.
The chip integrates the most common components used in a standard
ETRAX-based hardware design, such as 2MB Flash, 8MB SDRAM and an
Ethernet transceiver, in a single chip. This means that almost all
mandatory components for building a networked device are included in a
chip only 27x27 mm large.
