Irvine (Cal) - Magic Software heeft zich aangesloten bij de gezaghebbende Web Services Interoperability Organization (WS-I). Deze organisatie stelt zich ten doel om WEB services over alle denkbare platforms, met alle denkbare applicaties en programmeertalen te bewerkstelligen. Een organisatie dus die de standaard zet voor WEB services zonder (technische) barrières.
Met de toetreding tot de WS-I stapt Magic Software in een consortium van meer dan 160 deelnemers, bestaande uit ‘gebruikers’ en ‘aanbieders’ van WEB services. Magic Software brengt excellente kennis en ervaring mee naar de WS-I, en is vooral sterk op het gebied van ontwikkeling en integratie van WEB services. Vlaggenschip eDeveloper, de ideale applicatie voor ontwikkeling van automatiseringtoepassingen, biedt in dit verband ondersteuning voor XML Schema, WEB Services Definition Language (WSDL), en SOAP standaards (dat staat voor “Simple Object Access Protocol”). Tevens wordt met eDeveloper een aantal standaarden voor industriele automatisering ondersteund, zoals J2EE™ en Microsoft.NET.
Met de samenwerking zal Magic Software deelnemen als actief WS-I lid en participeren in talrijke werkgroepen die in deze organisatie actief zijn. Hiermee neemt Magic Software een leidinggevende voorsprong op de eigen (iBOLT) strategie om wereldwijde communicatie tussen verschillende technische platforms en applicaties, daadwerkelijk toepasbaar te maken.
