Eindhoven, 8 mei 2026. Valid Managed Services (VMS) maakt vandaag bekend dat het wordt overgenomen door DATAGROUP. Met deze stap sluit VMS zich aan bij een internationale organisatie met ambitieuze groeiplannen in Europa. De overname markeert een belangrijke mijlpaal in de verdere ontwikkeling en biedt nieuwe kansen voor klanten, medewerkers en partners.
Deze overname is een antwoord op de groeiende behoefte van organisaties aan betrouwbare, veilige en optimaal functionerende IT-voorzieningen, die essentieel zijn voor hun bedrijfsactiviteiten. Door de krachten te bundelen, ontstaat een sterke organisatie, die beter in staat is klanten te ondersteunen in een steeds complexer digitaal landschap.

Een breder dienstenportfolio en meer keuzevrijheid
Door de aansluiting bij DATAGROUP krijgen klanten van VMS toegang tot een breder scala aan IT-diensten en -oplossingen. DATAGROUP bundelt met het CORBOX-platform negen servicefamilies waarin Mult-Cloud, Cybersecurity, Compliance en AI-gedreven automatisering standaard zijn verankerd.
De combinatie van het uitgebreide DATAGROUP-portfolio met de klantgerichte aanpak van VMS creëert een unieke propositie: meer schaal, diepere expertise en een versnelde digitale transformatie ondersteund door een van Europa's toonaangevende IT-dienstverleners met circa 4.000 medewerkers en meer dan €560 miljoen omzet.
Daarnaast vergroot de overname het cloudportfolio voor klanten met toegang tot DATAGROUP's Corbox Multi-Cloud, waaronder een soeverein cloudplatform vanuit Europese datacenters. Dit platform ondersteunt datasoevereiniteit en compliance met Europese regelgeving, zonder vendor lock-in. Voor sectoren met hoge security- en compliance-eisen zijn aanvullende branchespecifieke cloudoplossingen beschikbaar.
Continuïteit in leiderschap en dienstverlening
Het huidige managementteam, onder leiding van Roy van de Kamp, wordt verantwoordelijk voor de verdere ontwikkeling en groei. Daarnaast zal Roy van de Kamp de rol van Division Director European Expansion op zich nemen en rechtstreeks rapporteren aan de CEO van DATAGROUP. In deze functie geeft hij mede invulling aan de ambitieuze Europese groeistrategie van DATAGROUP richting 2030.
Valid Consultancy
Na de overname van VMS door DATAGROUP gaat Valid zich volledig focussen op de doorontwikkeling en groei van haar consultancy activiteiten. Activiteiten die gericht zijn op het vergroten van de executiekracht van haar klanten door veranderingen succesvol door te voeren en haar klanten meer datagedreven te maken.
De transacteis onderworpen aan de gebruikelijke voorwaarden voor afronding en zal naar verwachting in de komende maanden worden afgerond.

By joining DATAGROUP, VMS clients gain access to a wider range of IT services and solutions. DATAGROUP's CORBOX platform brings together nine service families in which Multi-Cloud, Cybersecurity, Compliance and AI-driven automation are embedded as standard.
The combination of DATAGROUP's extensive portfolio with VMS's client-focused approach creates a unique proposition: greater scale, deeper expertise and accelerated digital transformation, supported by one of Europe's leading IT service providers with approximately 4,000 employees and more than EUR 560 million in revenue.
In addition, the acquisition expands the cloud portfolio for clients with access to DATAGROUP's Corbox Multi-Cloud, including a sovereign cloud platform operating from European data centres. This platform supports data sovereignty and compliance with European regulations, without vendor lock-in. For sectors with high security and compliance requirements, additional industry-specific cloud solutions are available.
Continuity in leadership and service delivery
The current management team, led by Roy van de Kamp, will be responsible for the further development and growth. Additionally, Roy van de Kamp will assume the role of Division Director European Expansion, reporting directly to the CEO of DATAGROUP. In this role, he will contribute to shaping DATAGROUP's ambitious European growth strategy towards 2030.
Valid Consultancy
Following the acquisition of VMS by DATAGROUP, Valid will focus entirely on the further development and growth of its consultancy activities. These activities are aimed at strengthening clients' execution capabilities by successfully driving change and enabling clients to become more data-driven.
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the coming months.
