Utrecht, 11 september 2025 - Het NAVO Communicatie- en Informatieagentschap (NCIA) gaat zijn missie-kritische workloads onderbrengen bij Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Daarmee wil het agentschap zijn IT-infrastructuur moderniseren met de nieuwste cloud- en AI-technologieën, zonder concessies te doen aan veiligheid en beschikbaarheid.
De overstap gebeurt in samenwerking met Thales als hoofdaannemer en de Oracle-specialisten Red Reply en Shield Reply, beide onderdeel van de Reply Group. Zij begeleiden de migratie van drie bestaande datacenters naar OCI en bieden een volledig pakket aan diensten, van inventarisatie en veilig ontwerp tot uitvoering en beheer. Proximus levert aanvullende netwerkoplossingen.
Het NCIA is het technologie- en cybercentrum van de NAVO, en speelt een sleutelrol bij het verbinden van het Bondgenootschap, het beveiligen van de netwerken en het
ondersteunen van de NAVO-operaties. De missie van het NCIA is het leveren van veilige, kostenefficiënte en interoperabele communicatie- en informatiesystemen en diensten aan de NAVO. Om deze missie en het voortdurende moderniseringsprogramma te ondersteunen, versterkt het NCIA zijn capaciteit en optimaliseert het systeemprestaties.

Dankzij de soevereine cloudcapaciteiten van OCI voldoet het NCIA aan vereisten voor gegevensresidentie, schaalbaarheid en operationele controles.
