Amsterdam, 9 april 2025 - FireMon kondigt vandaag aan dat het zijn samenwerking met Westcon-Comstor, een wereldwijde technologieleverancier en gespecialiseerde distributeur, uitbreidt. Dit is FireMon's initiatief naar aanleiding van de onrust in EMEA door de plotselinge stopzetting van de activiteiten van Skybox Security in maart jl.
Na de aankondiging van Skybox Security zochten channel partners naar een alternatief. Daarop spelen FireMon en Westcon-Comstor, die al meer dan tien jaar samenwerken, in. De twee bedrijven erkennen de dringende noodzaak om het EMEA-kanaal te ondersteunen en breiden hun samenwerking verder uit. Ze werken nu samen met de voormalige partners van Skybox Security.
In reactie op de sluiting van Skybox Security heeft FireMon de enige speciale “Skybox Migration” oplossing gelanceerd die momenteel op de markt is: een geautomatiseerde Skybox-migratieoplossing die device-inventaris, policy-historie, gebruikersdata en compliance-instellingen volledig intact laat. De migratie-wizard kan ook bestaand Skybox-beleid verzamelen en integreren in FireMon's NSPM-oplossing (Network Security Policy Management), wat zorgt voor een naadloze overgang voor eindgebruikers.

After the Skybox Security announcement, channel partners serving end users were left seeking an alternative. Enter FireMon and Westcon-Comstor, who have partnered together for over a decade. The two companies recognised the urgent need to support the EMEA channel and have further cemented the relationship, and are now engaged with Skybox Security partners.
Critically in response to the Skybox closure, FireMon has launched the only dedicated automated ‘Skybox Migration’ solution in the market, an automated Skybox migration solution—preserving your device inventory, rule history, usage data, and compliance controls. The migrator is also able to collate existing Skybox policies and place them within FireMon’s NSPM solution - making the shift seamless for end users.
