TAIPEI (November 4, 2024) Acer has been honored with three Red Dot Brand & Communication Designs Awards for the innovative and eco-friendly packaging designs of the Acer ebii smart e-bike, Predator Orion X gaming desktop, and the Acer gaming series. Reflecting the company's commitment to sustainability, Acer has made a conscious effort to use recyclable materials across its product portfolio, significantly reducing waste and environmental impact.

The packaging features a molded pulp paper design, making it fully recyclable while ensuring the structural integrity and protection of heavy products during transport. These designs also simplify the unboxing process for users and extend the usability of the packaging beyond its primary function, allowing them to be repurposed.
Since 2019, the prestigious Red Dot Design Awards has given distinction to projects and brands that achieve exceptional quality and creativity. This year, Acer’s sustainable packaging designs were evaluated and hand-picked by an international jury of experts from thousands of entries, highlighting the originality, creativity, and societal impact of the company's innovations. The packaging can also be easily transformed into a bike frame, helping save space and reduce waste.
- Acer Gaming Eco-Friendly Green Reuse Packaging – The packaging components of the Acer Gaming series are made entirely from recyclable paper. Beyond protecting the products, the design includes elements that can be repurposed for various uses such as a headphone stand, desk organizer, cup holder, and a laptop cooling stand, catering to the everyday needs of today’s gamers.
- Predator Orion X Desktop Eco-Friendly Packaging – The futuristic theme of the Predator Orion X desktop extends to its packaging. The outer packaging unfolds in all directions, simulating the opening of a space capsule and revealing the sci-fi-inspired desktop. Made with recyclable materials, including molded pulp and air pockets on the top and bottom for cushioning, and corrugated cardboard on the outer box for added protection, it ensures the device is safeguarded while addressing the challenge of sustainable transportation for heavy products.
